Palliative Care and Chaplaincy

What is Palliative Care and what is the role of a chaplain on the Palliative Care team?  Please join us for a conversation with Jennifer McGaugh, MSN, RN Nurse Consultant for the Supportive and Palliative Care service at ZSFG.  Jen brings with her a wealth of experience here at ZSFG and beyond.  Her professional life spans music publishing, cooking at Greens Restaurant in SF, co-founding BAY Positives, a non-profit organization for HIV+ youth and coordinating care for people living with HIV/AIDS and breast cancer at Shanti Project. Her work at Shanti inspired her to become a nurse where she eventually became a staff nurse at ZSFGH. Caring for numerous patients nearing end-of-life galvanized her passion for Palliative Care.
